Auction Bot: NYY#00002b4h3z
What makes them suspicious?
A few weeks ago, I posted about a suspected bot, ClCubs2016 . I believe I've found another bot, this one even more obvious than that one.
Since the 6pm EST auction on 5/17, user "NYY#00002b4h3z" has won 10 players. That's a lot of winning bids, second only to the previously-mentioned "ClCubs2016". No winning bid has been lower than 8,600 stars, and the highest went over 17k.
Oh, but it gets better. I first noticed this player on Wednesday, just after 1pm EST. I looked at their team and found that they still had their demo Diamond cards! You know, the ones new players get for 3 days or so that turn to Silvers after? Meaning this account is brand new. The Diamonds had a countdown timer of ~31 hours, meaning the account was created shortly before their first winning bid.
At the time of this writing, they had won 10 auctions: 5 consecutive auctions from their first appearance, then took a day off, then won three more in a row, then two in the same auction. All said, they spent 122,983 stars in 4 days... I don't remember how many stars new accounts get, but I'm guessing it's a few hundred thousand shy of 123,000 stars.
